Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal wants to party for a while before setting his sights on his first US Open title.
“Right now I’m just going to relax and enjoy this amazing season.
“For sure the US Open is going to be one of my goals for the rest of my career. But right now it’s time to enjoy the beach, fishing, golf, friends, party, and Mallorca,” he said shortly after winning his second Wimbledon title since 2008 over the weekend.
With already five titles since mid-April and a lead of nearly 4,000 ranking points over number two Novak Djokovic, Nadal can afford to disengage from tennis for a few lazy days.
“It was very difficult for me to be back at my best. I did, so it’s a very important and emotional moment for me.
